Results 12/9/20 – 300m Competition

Back to 300m on Saturday, the weather stayed fine, though the wind on the coast was SE with gusts up to 25km/hr, the range was a little protected and gave us reasonably consistent conditions for the afternoon. Though some may disagree with me on that. 🙂

Div 1 (TRA) was a tight competition after the first stage with Scott Robson on 49.6, Colin Cole on 49.5 and Michelle Fletcher on 49.5. So the second stage was to sort us all out. Colin shot first and was a little disappointed with his 54.4, finishing with a 103.9, Michelle then shot a 54.5, so that left Scott open for a win. It wasn’t to be the result at the end of the day, with a 52.3 in the second stage. Michelle top scored with a 103.10, Colin in second on 103.9 and Scott in third on 101.9.

Div 2 (TRB) had two competitors this week, with Shane Jones and David Richardson. David took out the day with a 95.4 over Shane’s 92.5.

Div 3 (FStd) was a tight race as well for the day. Bob Bull shot a great first stage with a 57.2 to lead the close pack behind of Corrie Hoosen on 56.4, Peter Birch just behind on 56.3, and Scott Mayall with a 55.2. There was some nice shooting in the second stage with Tim Pilcher on 64.6, and Corrie scoring a 64.4. So with good scores on individual stages the aggregates finished as Corrie Hoosen, 120.8, second was Scott Mayall with 118.6 on a count back from Peter Birch on 118.6, better luck next time Peter.

Div 4 (FO) only had three competitors this week, but there was some great results. Dave Boreham is in fine form at the moment, and got the only possible in the first stage on the range with a 60.5. The second stage saw some great shooting from Peter Coats with a 66.4, the only possible in the second stage on the range. Dave’s agg was 124.9, to take out the afternoon, with Peter Coats second on 120.4.

Div5 (FTR) had 7 shooters compete for the afternoon, with Ian Skipworth shooting well in both stages with a 55.3 and a 64.3 to take out the afternoon with a 119.6. Patrick Oberem shot well in the second stage scoring a 60.2, to take out second with a 113.3 and Peter Wicks in third with a 110.4.
