CLUB COMPETITION – 20/6/20 700 YARDS
Today we shot our first competition shoot after our break due to COVID-19. As with the practices, we shot in two groups, with Target Rifle commencing shooting at 10:00 am and FClass shooting at 1:00 pm.
We shot 700 yards, and the issues we had with target 3 continued this week, even after all of Des’s efforts during the week to try and fix the problem.
The morning shoot saw 10 shooters, with the wind causing a few headaches for the first range, with it picking up and dropping off reasonably quickly. We had a couple of light showers, but most of us shot without getting too wet.
The afternoon shoot saw 15 FClass shooters compete, with an great shoot by Dave Boreham with a double possible.
Thanks to the Range Officers (Tim and Fred in the morning and Scott in the afternoon) for the day, ensuring that everyone sticks to the social distancing rules.
Next week is 300m practice, with 2 sessions, please book with Scott.
We currently are unable to conduct Come and Try Days or have new shooters visit the range, we hope this will change in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on the web page to find out when we can have new shooters come and join us.
The Annual General Meeting is going to be on 1 August after the 10:00 am Committee Meeting.
