FTR (Div 5 ) results

Carol R had a wonderful shoot in FTR this afternoon at 700 yards. Conditions were difficult at times, with wind conditions picking up and dropping on a regular basis. Though at 700 yards shooting on our second butts means that you don’t actually have any flags that tell a true story. Carol started the afternoon with a 59.3 top scoring by 2 points over Jim D who shot a 57.3. She kept her cool in the second stage to shoot a 65.5 to give her a 124.8 for the day. Jim shot well with a 64.3 for second (121.6) and Rob G recovered after a bad start with a 116.3 for third place.

FStd (Div 3) Results

So I promised the first place winner in Div 3, I would not use any embelishments like “surprising”, to describe his results today.

Peter B started the afternoon well with a 59.6 well in front of the other FStd shooters, the closest being Des V with a 56.2. Conditions were still causing concerns for some in the second stage, and a very light shower came across the range towards the end of the afternoon, which helped settle some of the flags. Peter B shot a 65.4 in the second stage with Corrie H shooting 64.3 and Grant L a 63.6. Place getters were Peter B 124.10, Grant L 117.8 and Des V on 116.3.

FO (Div 4) Results

Only three competitors in FO this afternoon. All of the competitors struggled for a score in the first stage, with a top score from Peter C on 56.1 taking the lead. The second stage saw all have nice shoots with a 65.4 from Peter C, a 64.6 from Denis M and a 63.1 from Andrew B. Peter C took out the afternoon with a 121.5, with Denis in second place on 118.8.

Target Rifle results (Div 1 and 2)

There was three competitors in TRA and 1 in TRBC for the afternoon. Gary M had the best result with a 55.7 in the second stage and Scott R not far behind on 54.5, but Scott had shot well in the first stage as well with a 48.4, which gave him top honours for Div 1, with a 102.9, Gary M a 100.9 in second and Michelle F finishing with a 100.6 for the afternoon. Shane J had a good results in the conditions in stage one, with a 46.1 and finished the day off with a 94.2.

We had one visitor for the afternoon, Ben who shot well with a 112.2.

Next Saturday the range is closed due to SSAA hosting their National Lever Action competition. Our next shooting day is Saturday 10 September and it will 300m Club competition.
